W.B. Martin Lumber Company

In business for over 80 years and going strong.

Wallace B. Martin started the business in 1921 with "one building and one shed." W.B. Martin Lumber has been a family owned business for over 80 years and has grown into a "Full Service lumber yard" that includes a custom millwork shop and delivers throughout the Twin Cities metro area and Western Wisconsin.

Martin Lumber is located on the East Side of St. Paul where many contractors, large and small, as well as do-it-yourselfers, rely on our many years of experience to assist in getting the project done right. Our average employee has over 18 years of experience.

Former President Howard Nelson has been with the company for more than 50 years. Howard is semi-retired now but comes in to help out and still goes out to assist customers in measuring windows and doors. Howard says,

"The Company has been here for 81 years and we intend to stay. You do that by keeping your customers happy and by staying with quality materials that you stand behind and offer
at a competitive price.
"

Dick Hoppe (grandson of W.B. Martin) is a third generation president of the company. He states, "I've seen customers my dad used to wait on." Customers keep coming back because they know us personally and have come to rely on us.

Martin Lumber has a 5000 square foot showroom where entry doors, windows, decking products, trim and room treatments are displayed. In the yard there is a wide variety of lumber including maple, poplar, oak, fir, treated products as well as many types and grades of plywood products. We have a tradition of being a good source for the "difficult" to find products.
